ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a fire-resistant panel assembly comprising: a core of high density particle board having a pair of major faces; a respective protective sheet of rigid, high temperature fibre board made from bulk ceramic fibres having an alumina and silica base attached to each of the major faces of the core; and a respective facing sheet attached to the outer surface of each of said protective sheets.
