Abstract of the Invention A composition comprising a metal salt of a carboxylic acid in conjunction with a beta-haloethyl phosphate has been found useful as a flame retardant for urethane polymers and composites thereof with other polymer materials. The zinc, antimony, stannic and cupric salts of such acids are used in combination with, e.g., tris(beta-chloroethyl) phosphate.
