FIRE RETARDING CHLORINATED POLYETHYLENE WIRE COATING COMPOSITION Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a highly flame resistant composition having low smoke properties. The composition consists essentially of chlorinated polyethylene having a chlorine content of at least 25%, and dispersed therein finely divided inorganic antimony material at a concentration of at least about 39% by weight of the chlorinated polyethylene. The composition is useful as insulation for wire and cable, particularly plenum cable.
