ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fire sprinkler head having a body with a liquid flow channel terminating in a plug assembly which includes a heat sensitive disk. The plug assembly allows liquid to flow through the liquid flow channel when the heat sensitive disk is subjected to heat. The invention is characterized by a drain passage through one of the body and the plug assembly whereby liquids are drained from the body with the heat sensitive disk in position. A closure is disposed in the drain passage.
