A readily replaceable bolt face for a firearm (10) with a movable slide (12) that strips a round from a magazine, extracts the spent round from the firing chamber and then ejects the round from the firearm by means of an ejector. A bolt face insert (32) has an external configuration that is common to a range of calibers, but with a bolt face side (66) designed to fit the rim of a specific caliber or calibers having the same rim dimension. The insert may be replaced to fit a different caliber without replacing the slide. The bolt face insert is provided with a slot (62) for the ejector and a groove (60) to accept an extractor for the specified caliber.
L'invention concerne une tête de culasse mobile pouvant être changée rapidement, destinée à une arme à feu (10), comportant une glissière mobile (12) servant à guider une cartouche à partir d'un chargeur, à extraire la cartouche utilisée de la chambre de mise à feu, puis à éjecter la cartouche de l'arme à feu au moyen d'un éjecteur. Un insert (32) de tête de culasse mobile présente une configuration extérieure commune à plusieurs calibres, mais un côté (66) de tête de culasse mobile conçu de façon adaptée au bourrelet d'un calibre spécifique ou de calibres présentant les mêmes dimensions de bourrelet. Ledit insert peut être remplacé de façon que ladite arme à feu puisse recevoir un autre calibre, sans devoir changer la glissière. L'insert de tête de culasse mobile comporte une fente (62) destinée à l'éjecteur et une rainure (60) destinée à recevoir un extracteur du calibre spécifique.
