ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The specification describes a fireplace cleaner which comprises a container of heat resistant material for receiving ashes from the fireplace. The container has a bottom and a side wall with a removable top therefor. A conduit is in communication with the interior of the container and extends laterally from the container. Vacuum generating means, secured to the removable top, draws ashes from the fireplace through the conduit into the container.
