Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a fireplace insulator that blocks off the flue opening. It is inserted in underlying rela- tionship to the fireplace damper. The insulator is similar in construction to an air mattress with sealed together strips and air receiving pockets therebetween. A depending inflation hose has a warning label affixed to it that the flue is closed. At least one sealed together strip is slitted to accommodate the damper handle. In assembly, the insulator is compressed at its ends and along its sides to effectively block the entry of cold air.
