IFT GmbH 899/001 EP Abstract The firing target 1 is intended in particular for military firing practices and is distinguished by the fact that it is made from a polyethylene mixture. The mixture is preferably made up of HDPE and LDPE, there being 80% HDPE and 20% LDPE. In comparison with conventional firing targets of multi-layered plywood, this target 1 permits much higher numbers of shots. This is attributable to the fact that the penetration channel 10 has a distinctly reduced exit opening in relation to the entry opening (which cor- responds to the projectile calibre K), the said exit opening in some cases even being completely closed again. (Fig. 2)
