The present invention relates to a catalyst comprising particles of a cobalt and zinc co-precipitate, having a volume average particle size of less than 150 ~m. Another aspect of the invention is the use of such a catalyst in a Fischer-Tropsch process. The present invention further relates to a method for preparing a catalyst comprising cobalt and zinc oxide, wherein an acidic solution comprising zinc ions and cobalt ions and a alkaline solution are contacted and the precipitate is isolated.

La présente invention concerne un catalyseur qui comprend des particules d'un coprécipité de cobalt et de zinc, le calibre de ces particules présentant un volume moyen inférieur à 150 ?m. Un autre aspect de cette invention concerne l'utilisation de ce catalyseur dans un processus Fischer-Tropsch. Cette invention concerne aussi un procédé de préparation d'un catalyseur comprenant du cobalt et un oxyde de zinc. Ce procédé consiste à mettre en contact une solution acide comprenant des ions de zinc et des ions de cobalt avec une solution alcaline et à isoler le précipité.
