The present invention is directed to a catalyst suitable for catalyzing a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, said catalyst com-prising cobalt metal supported on zinc-oxide and an amount of zirconium(IV)oxide and/or aluminium oxide of between 0.5 and 2.5 wt.% calculated as metal, based on the weight of the calcined catalyst.
