The invention relates to a fish biopsy device. The device (1) comprises at least one hook having a tip portion (4), a bend (3) and a shank (2). The tip portion comprises a tube of a non-pliable material having a sharpened end (5) and the tube bore optionally includes a plurality of barbs. The tube has an aperture therein distal the sharpened end; and the bend is formed from a pliable material. The invention also relates to a method of obtaining biopsy material from a fish using the foregoing device.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de biopsie pour poissons. Ledit dispositif (1) comprend au moins un crochet doté au moins d'une partie d'extrémité (4), un coude (3) et une tige (2). La partie d'extrémité comprend un tube constitué d'un matériau non pliable présentant une extrémité pointue (5), et un alésage de tube comprenant éventuellement une pluralité de barbes. Le tube comprend une ouverture distale à l'extrémité pointue, et le coude est formé à partir d'un matériau pliable. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'obtenir un matériau de biopsie à partir d'un poisson à l'aide du dispositif précité.
