ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fish catcher has a bent body formed by bending an elastic linear member within its elastic limit, the body including first and second legs extending from opposite ends of an arcuate intermediate portion. The first leg is slightly longer than the second leg and has an inwardly facing catch ring. The first leg and an inwardly extending portion at the lower end of the second leg are releasably connectible by the interengageable members held in mutual engagement by the elasticity of the linear member. A hook line extends downwardly from one of the interengageable members and through the inwardly facing ring and has a fish hook at a lower end thereof, the hook line being suspended from the inwardly extending portion of the linear member.
