ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fish-hook assembly comprising two oppositely directed pointed hooks and a shield member for each hook, the shield member being displaceable from the shielding position when a fish bites on the assembly. The shield member for each hook is attached to the opposing hook. The shield members are preferably connected to the line in such manner as to allow a pull on the line to move the shield members towards each other, at the same time separating the hooks and causing the points thereof to be moved beyond the shield members.
