An apparatus and method for extracting liquid from a body of liquid are disclosed. The apparatus includes a conduit terminator operable to terminate a conduit, the conduit terminator having an inlet opening to facilitate conduction of liquid from the body of liquid. The apparatus further includes a solid object diverter connected to the conduit terminator, the diverter defining a liquid admitting cavity about the inlet opening to impede solid objects form entering the inlet opening while permitting entry of liquid into the cavity for admission into the inlet opening. The apparatus also has a positioner operable to position the diverter in a position in the liquid body such that the cavity admits liquid from the body of liquid while the inlet opening admits liquid from the cavity.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif d'extraction de liquide d'un corps de liquide. L'appareil comporte une terminaison de conduit permettant de former l'extrémité d'un conduit. Cette terminaison de conduit comporte un orifice d'entrée devant favoriser la conduite du liquide depuis le corps de liquide. L'appareil comporte en outre un déflecteur pour objets solides raccordé à la terminaison de conduit, lequel déflecteur définit une cavité d'admission de liquide autour de l'orifice d'entrée de façon à empêcher les objets solides d'entrer dans l'orifice d'entrée tout en permettant l'entrée du liquide dans la cavité en vue de l'admission dans l'orifice d'entrée. L'appareil comporte en outre un positionneur permettant de positionner le déflecteur dans une position dans le corps liquide de façon que la cavité admette du liquide depuis le corps de liquide pendant que l'orifice d'entrée admet le liquide depuis la cavité.
