A fishing line composed of a strand of a plurality of steel wires twisted together and coated with synthetic resin, wherein the steel wire is a low carbon duplex structure steel wire in the fibrous fine metallic structure having a tensile strength of 300 to 600 kgf/mm2 and coated by plating with anticorrosive metal on the outer surface, the twist pitch of the strand being 13 to 20 times synthetic resin being 4 µm or more. This fishing line is high in tensile strength and knot strength, and is hardly kinked or curled when subjected to impact.

L'invention se rapporte à une ligne de pêche qui se compose d'un toron de plusieurs fils d'acier enroulés ensemble de façon hélicoïdale et recouverts d'une résine synthétique et dans laquelle chacun des fils d'acier est constitué par un fil d'acier à structure double à faible teneur en carbone contenu dans la fine structure métallique fibreuse. Les fils d'acier ont une résistance à la traction de 300 à 600 kg f/mm2 et leur surface extérieure est recouverte par plaquage d'un métal anticorrosif, le pas de l'enroulement hélicoïdal du toron représente 13 à 20 fois son diamètre et l'épaisseur de la couche de revêtement en résine synthétique est d'au moins 4 /. Cette ligne de pêche possède d'excellentes propriétés de résistance à la traction et de résistance au noeud et elle ne se tortille ou ne se tire-bouchonne que difficilement lorsqu'elle est soumise à des chocs.
