The invention relates to an apparatus to assist in spooling fishing line onto reel spools and storing fishing line for future use, by re-spooling it. In an embodiment, the fishing line spooling and re-spooling apparatus comprises: a spindle adapted to coaxially receive a fishing line spool, wherein a distal tip of the spindle is adapted to receive a crank; and a spindle holder adapted to receive the spindle; wherein the spindle holder has a stem adapted to detachably connect to a distal tip of a disassembled fishing rod.
