A fishing tackle for simulating the action of fly fishing which has a float, normally floating on top of the water, and free to rotate thereon, a leader extending through the float at an inclined elevation relative to the surface of the water with an upper leader segment having, at its distal end a hook, and preferably a fish recognizable token such as feathers, flies or frogs so that when the opposite end of the leader, being the lower segment, is pulled by a fishing rod the float rotates and the hook and fly come close to and sometimes touch the water to simulate the action of fly fishing.
