A range of peripheral dimensions, each measured around one of the spaced steps (50, 52, 54; 150, 152, 154) or around one of the spaced shoulders (62, 64, 66, 68; 162, 164, 166, 168), increase from a smallest dimension, at or toward one end, through intermediate dimensions which do not decrease after increasing. Preferably, the body (30) is boat-shaped defining two sidewall portions (32, 132) and projecting fins (82, 182) from each opposite edge (80, 180). Each shoulder (62, 64, 66, 68; 162, 164, 166, 168) has a sealing surface (72, 74, 76, 78; 172, 174, 176, 178) tapering outwardly or inwardly from one end of the fitment (10, 110) to the other.
