ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a four-in-hand necktie fitted to the physique of a necktie wearer by being made according to dimensions related to certain identifiable points on the wearer's body so that, with the necktie knot tied, the necktie ends will be located relative to the wearer's body and with respect to each other in a desired manner, with one or more means located on the necktie to assist one in positioning the necktie properly with respect to the wearer's body prior to tying the necktie knot and in determining whether the necktie will fit the physique of another wearer.
