ABSTRACT This invention relates to a mechanism in a video tape recorder for assembling electric elements such as a rotary head, an audio control head and the like onto a chassis. This permits the travelling lines of the mag- netic tape that passes the rotary head and the electric elements, to be kept accurately positioned relative to the head and to these elements without deviating from the contact positions. The necessary electric elements are arranged on the same substrate, which together with the rotary head, can be fitted onto the chassis as a unit.
