The Fixed Blade Retention System (FBRS) which comprises a flat angled piece with two tangs that attach to a scabbard including; a pressure release point PRP; a hilt catching edge HCE; and a spring. This system will allow one hand insertion and automatic securing of a fixed blade. The FBRS will ensure that the fixed blade will remain secured in the scabbard, unless the pressure release point is engaged and the fixed blade is withdrawn.
