The invention relates to a fixing (10) of a roof sealing strip (46) or the like, consisting of a holder (16) and a securing device (14) penetrating said hol- der and the sealing strip (46) beneath it, which is pivotably and form-fittinglysecured to the holder (16), presses the latter against the top of the sealing strip (46) and is anchored in the substructure (52). In order to construct a fixing (10) of the kind concerned in such a way that, with the simplest possible shaping and fitting, it permits the secure covering of the hole in the sealing strip (46) needed for the passage of the securing device (14), it is proposed that the hol-der (16) be capped by a cover (12) on the upper side (21) of which is arranged adevice (20) for torque transmission (21) and on the underside (26) of which is constructed a coupling engaging so as to be longitudinally movable with the upper end (28) of the securing device (14). Said coupling holds the securing de-vice (14) integrally in rotation with the cover (12) only in the region of its upper end position. The free edge (18) of the cover (12) surrounding the holder (16) is sealed to the underlying sealing strip (46). A sealant need not be used in assem- bly if the whole of the cover (12) or at least the edge region (18) of the cover(12) lying on the sealing strip consists of a material which can be bonded to the sealing strip (46) by friction welding.
