ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Fastener for securing a resilient thermal insulation blanket onto a base to form a surface to be walked on. The fastener has a washer-like thin disk applied over the blanket and having a central hole. A tubular depression member depends from one surface of the disk, this member having the form of an elongated wall of which the length is approximately half the thickness of the blanket. The wall has a bore in communication with the disk central hole and a bottom wall having a through passage of a diameter smaller than that of the base. A screw having a threaded stem and head is mounted in the well with the stem thereof extending through the passage through the well bottom wall. This screw is secured onto the base until the head stands generally at the bottom of the well.
