Flame-resistant rigid foams based on isocyanate Abstract Flame-resistant rigid foams based on isocyanate are produced by reacting a) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates with b) at least one compound containing hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanates and, if desired, c) low molecular weight chain extenders and/or crosslinkers in the presence of d) blowing agents, e) catalysts f) at least one bromine-containing flame retardant and, if desired, g) further auxiliaries and/or additives, wherein predominantly tribromoneopentyl alcohol is used at bromine-containing flame retardant and the crosslinking index of all compounds containing hydrogen atoms reactive toward isocyanates, including the bromine-containing flame retardant, is at least 3Ø The rigid foams based on isocyanate and produced by this process can be used as insulation materials.
