A flame retardant molding composition which comprises a blend formed from at least the following components: (A) a thermoplastic polyamide or thermoplastic polyester polymer; (B) at least one organic halogen-containing flame retardant; (C) a zinc borate, a mixed oxide of zinc and boron, or zinc sulfide, or a mixture of any two or more of the foregoing; and (D) an olefin- based polymer. The composition produces molded articles which exhibit increased comparative tracking index ratings.

L'invention concerne une composition de moulage non inflammable, qui comprend un mélange formé d'au moins les deux éléments suivants: A) un polymère de polyamide thermoplastique ou de polyester thermoplastique, B) au moins une substance organique non inflammable contenant de l'halogène, C) un borate de zinc, un oxyde mixte de zinc et de boron, ou un sulfure de zinc, ou un mélange de deux quelconques ou de plusieurs desdits éléments; et D) un polymère oléfinique. La composition de l'invention produit des articles moulés présentant des taux améliorés de l'indice comparatif de résistance à l'érosion.
