Preferably, the particles used are below 50 (0.050 µ) nanometers in size and comprise antimony pentoxide (Sb2O5), the synthetic resin preferably is a polyolefin, preferably polypropylene, and the composition includes a halogenated retardant compound, preferably a brominated alkoxydiphenyl sulfone.
