Disclosed are a fiber sheet having excellent flame retardance, and a formed article thereof. Specifically disclosed is a flame-retardant fiber sheet wherein fibers contain an ammonium polyphosphate having a polymerization degree of 10-40. The ammonium polyphosphate is insoluble or poorly soluble in water, and provides the fiber sheet with excellent flame retardance along with water resistance and durability. In addition the ammonium polyphosphate is available at low cost. Since an article formed of this flame-retardant fiber sheet has excellent flame retardance while being harmless to humans and animals, it is useful, for example, as an interior material for automobiles or buildings.

L~invention concerne une feuille de fibres ayant une excellente propriété ignifuge et un article formé de celle-ci. L~invention concerne précisément une feuille de fibres ignifuge dans laquelle les fibres contiennent un polyphosphate d'ammonium ayant un degré de polymérisation de 10-40. Le polyphosphate d'ammonium est insoluble ou faiblement soluble dans de l'eau et confère à la feuille de fibres une excellente propriété ignifuge ainsi qu'une résistance à l'eau et une durabilité. En plus le polyphosphate d'ammonium est disponible à faible coût. Dans la mesure où un article formé de cette feuille de fibres ignifuge a une excellente propriété ignifuge tout en étant sans danger pour les humains et les animaux, il est utile, par exemple, comme matière d'intérieur pour des automobiles ou des bâtiments.
