ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Self-extinguishing and non-dripping thermoplastic com- positions are provided which comprise a polyphenylene ether resin, a styrene resin, a halogenated aromatic flame re- tardant compound, an antimony containing compound, and an additive selected from the group consisting of polyesters, polyethylene, a low molecular weight polystyrone resin, alkyl esters of trimellitic acid, epoxy stearates, epoxy tetrahydrophthalates, a diorganopolysiloxane fluid, alkyl esters of adipic acid, alkyl esters of glycolic acid, dialkyl phthalates and triaryl phosphates.
