ABSTRACT Flame-retardant polyester fibers containing about 5 to 30% by weight of a two-component flame-retardant additive consisting essentially of (a) certain aryl spirophosphates and (b) certain polychlorinated or polybrominated diaryl compounds, the fibers being particularly suitable for preparation of flame-retardant fiber blends, especially blends with cellulose fibers.
