FLAME RETARDANT POLYURETHANE FOAMS Abstract of the Disclosure The invention pertains to flame retardant poly- urethane foams prepared by the reaction of a polyoxyalkylene polyether polyol with an organic polyisocyanate and a blowing agent wherein melamine is incorporated as the sole flame retardant compound. The amount of melamine may range from about 10 weight percent to about 55 weight percent of the total composition.
