A flame-retardant resin composition obtained by irradiating with ionizing radiation a resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, from 100 to 250 parts by weight of magnesium hydroxide, and from 1 to 10 parts by weight of an organosilicon compound represented by formula (I): (see fig. I) wherein R represents an alkyl group containing a methacrylic or acrylic group and Y1, Y2, and Y3 each represents a group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkoxyl group, and a halogen group; and an insulated electrical wire obtained by coating the above flame-retardant resin composition on a conductor followed by irradiation.
Composition de résine ignifuge obtenue par irradiation ionisante d'une composition de résine comprenant 100 parties en poids d'une résine thermoplastique, de 100 à 250 parties en poids d'hydroxyde de magnésium et d'une à 10 parties en poids d'un composé d'organosilicone représenté par la formule I): (voir la fig. I) où R représente un groupe alkyle contenant un groupe méthacrylique ou acrylique et Y1, Y2 et Y3 représentent chacun un groupe sélectionné parmi un groupe constitué d'un groupe alkyle, d'un groupe alkoxyle et d'un groupe halogène. Fil électrique isolé obtenu par l'application sur un conducteur d'un revêtement de la composition de résine ignifuge ci-dessus, qui est ensuite irradié.
