A flame-retardant resin composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin and, blended therewith; (B) 0.1 to 100 parts by weight of red phosphorus; and (C) 0.5 to 100 parts by weight of a salt comprising a triazine compound and cyanuric or isocyanuric acid, wherein the number-average diameter of dispersed particles of red phosphorus in the resin composition is 50 to 0.01 µm, and that of dispersed particles of the salt is 100 to 0.01 µm. This composition has an excellent flame retardancy and maintains the properties inherent in the resin and, hence, is suitable for mechanical mechanism parts, electric components, electronic components, automobile parts, or the like.

Composition de résine ignifuge comprenant: (A) 100 parties en poids d'une résine thermoplastique à laquelle sont mélangées (B) 0.1 à 100 parties en poids de phosphore rouge, et (C) 0.5 à 100 parties en poids d'un sel comprenant un composé de triazine et de l'acide cyanurique ou isiocyanurique, le diamètre moyen au nombre de particules dispersées de phosphore rouge dans la composition de résine étant compris entre 50 et 0,01 µm, et celui de particules dispersées du sel étant compris entre 100 et 0.01 µm. Cette composition présente une excellente caractéristique ignifuge et maintient les propriétés inhérentes de la résine, elle est par conséquent adaptée à des pièces de mécanisme mécanique, des composants électriques, des composants électroniques, des pièces d'automobile ou analogues.
