ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flame-retardant and X-ray shielding silicone composi- tion comprising a flame-retardant selected from the group con- sisting of: platinum, platinum compounds and mixtures thereof and an X-ray shielding compound selected from the group consisting of: barium titanate, barium fluoride, lead sulfate and mixtures thereof. The silicone compositions have X-ray shielding capacity without loss of flame-retardancy. Addition of Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)2, Mgl8A16(OH)48(CO3)3.12H2O or mixtures thereof improves the anti- track properties of the silicone compositions. The silicone compositions are particularly useful for the manufacture of electronic components including an anode cap of a cathode ray tube for a color television receiver.
