The invention relates to the development of a composition of a flame retardant agent, whereby the halogenation of the vegetable oil is dispensed with by means of a novel composition for said halogen-free flame retardant agent in conjunction with vegetable oil and/or the methyl ester thereof with nitrogenous and/or phosphorous substances. The aim of the invention is achieved by producing a flame retardant agent made from a drying oil with a proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and said components are chemically modified by at least one phosphorous component and by at least one nitrogenous carbon compound, wherein additional fluid binding components are added. The drying oil can also be replaced with a proportion of unsaturated fatty acids by a methyl ester of the used drying oils which is esterified from native vegetable oils. At least one of the phosphorous components is a phosphorous acid. Liquid binding components as well as a nitrogenous carbon compound, can also be used. When used as a wood preservative, fungicidal and insecticide properties are achieved by adding additional chemical compounds.

L'invention vise à développer une composition d'un agent ignifugeant permettant de s'affranchir de l'halogénation des huiles végétales. A cet effet, on fait intervenir un agent ignifugeant composé d'une huile siccative contenant des acides gras insaturés modifiés chimiquement avec au moins un constituant phosphoré et au moins un composé de carbone azoté, ainsi que d'autres constituants liant les liquides. Ladite huile siccative peut être remplacée par un méthylester de cette dernière, transesterifié à partir d'une huile végétale native. Au moins un des constituants phosphorés est un acide phosphoré. On peut également faire intervenir un composant de carbone azoté et des constituants liant les liquides. Dans le cas d'une utilisation en tant qu'agent de protection du bois, l'agent ignifugeant selon l'invention peut également contenir d'autres composés chimiques destinés à conférer audit agent des propriétés fongicides et insecticides.
