The present invention relates to a flameproof polyamide composition that can be used to produce moulded articles. The inventive polyamide-based composition comprises a flameproofing system containing a melamine and molybdenum trioxide derivative. The composition can be especially used to produce moulded articles that are used in electrical or electronic connectics such as elements of circuit breakers, switches and connectors.
