This invention provides a flammable fluid heater comprising a primary combustion chamber and a flammable fluid fuelled supply to the primary combustion chamber to upon combustion, provide a substantial portion of a yellow flame and generate products of combustion. An opening formed on the primary combustion chamber for exhausting the products of combustion. An artificial log assembly is provided in the primary combustion chamber. At least one reflective surface is provided on at least one side of the primary combustion chamber to provide a reflected view of the substantially yellow flame and the artificial log assembly. The artificial log assembly provides at least one artificial log abutting the reflective surface. The artificial log has a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the reflective surface and a longitudinal upper edge abutting the reflective surface such that the artificial log and the apparent reflection of the log creates the appearance of a full round log.
