ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rigid holder in the form of a truncated pyramid supported on a larger flat base with plural holes in the pyramidal surfaces to releasably support the common nail-based, thermally luminescent flares, especially during their burning, on flat surface such as a roadway. The support provides a pivotably mounted handle for manual manipulation to allow transport and disposition of hot flares established in the holder.
