ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a flash array provid- ed with a number of high voltage combustion flash lamps which are ignited by means of a piezo element. The flash- ing of two lamps at the same time can be prevented by means of melting strips. According to the invention the igniting pulse for a second lamp of the device is passed on via a ca- pacitive circuit element which is formed by the flashed first lamp or a separate capacitor. By using such a ca- pacitor circuit element instead of an ohmic resistance, the undesired loss of heat in such a resistor is avoided. Fig. 3. - 25 -
