FLASH AND CAMERA DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flash and camera device integrally incorporating an electronic flashing device for firing a flash discharge tube and a photographic camera device with a fixed facus lens system, includes an aperture change-over mechanism for changing aperture to an appropriate aperture value depending on respective photography modes including far or near mode photography for an object within an allowable range of dis- tance-from the object to allow proper photography in flash mode photography, and a daylight mode photography, an indication element for indicating a condition under which the electronic flush device is able to fire in the flash mode operation and indicate far or near for the distance from the object, and a switch mechanism for simultaneously performing the functions of operating said aperture change- over mechanism, operating said indication element and supplying power to said electronic flash device. In this manner, the operation of the daylight or flash mode photo- graphy is simplified, the allowable range of distance from the object for proper photography can be increased, and the degree of the distance from the object, i.e. far or near, is indicated for identification.
