ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novelty ball including an inner hollow sphere of transparent plastic encasing a flashing light circuit. The inner hollow sphere is encased in an outer hollow sphere of a soft, resilient translucent plastic. The inner hollow sphere is formed of a pair of mating hollow hemispheres. Each hemisphere is molded with an integrally formed pair of battery sockets and two pairs of circuit board sockets. The sockets of one hemisphere align with corresponding sockets of the other hemisphere when the hemispheres are connected in mating relationship. A circuit board assembly having a pair of stacked circuit boards with a pair of batteries sandwiched therebetween is located in the inner hollow sphere with each of the circuit boards seated in a pair of the circuit board sockets of each hemisphere. Each battery is seated in one of the battery sockets of one of the hemispheres.
