A dual station hot debossing stamper (10) for a report or book cover includes a print engine (20) having a character finger daisy wheel forcer and a logo die forcer which are actuatable independently by a common servo motor (90) through respective gear trains. The print engine moves line-by-line and a platen moves character-by-character. A print wheel (30) is inserted and locked into the engine in a character debossment operation with a motor (39) driving the print wheel (30).When using a logo die (52), the print wheel (30) and casing is removed and using a loader-unloader tool (50) the die is articulated under the logo die forcer. Insertion of a logo transfer tape cartridge (60) shifts the gears in the print engine (20). A second character tape cartridge (40) is used with the print wheel (30). A dedicated personal computer (5) and associated software and firmware programs control the stamping apparatus.

L'imprimante assure (30) les déplacements ligne par ligne et un cylindre, les déplacements caractère par caractère. Pour procéder au gaufrage de caractères, on insère puis verrouille la marguerite (30) avec son moteur d'entraînement (39) dans l'imprimante. Pour l'utilisation de la matrice de logos (52), la marguerite et son boîtier sont retirés et la matrice de logos est amenée sous son marteau à l'aide d'un chargeur/déchargeur (50). C'est la mise en place d'une cartouche de ruban encreur de logos (60) qui provoque l'embrayage de l'imprimante (20). La marguerite utilise une cartouche de ruban encreur (40) séparée. La gestion du système est assurée par un PC (5) spécialisé et par les programmes et microprogrammes associés.
