AE-229 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An electrical connector for terminating flat multiconductor cable has a base supporting a plurality of insulation-piercing contacts in preselected pattern and includes a cover having ledges disposed in non- interfering relation to the contact pattern and adapted to retain marginal portions of the cable. The connector base has recesses configured complementally to the ledges for receiving the ledges in the course of cable termin- ating.
