12 ABSTRACT: The invention relates to an electrodynamic transducer of the flat-diaphragm type, in which the movement of the voice coil (former) (2, 3) is trans- mitted to the diaphragm (1) via at least one auxiliary cone (20). The auxiliary cone (20) is secured to the centring diaphragm (7) along its outer rim (10), via a coupling element (23). This has advantages as regards the construction and the manufacturing technology. Moreover, a low-distortion transducer is obtained. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a transducer in accordance with the invention.
