This invention provides a flat panel display for a mobile computer. The display has integral therewith an audio-acoustic portion to be used when activating the computer by voice or other audio activation. Preferably this display has a microphone on one end and a speaker on the other so that there is little or no sound interference with the other. There is also a connection to the CPU of the computer being used in the same system on this display. While the display is designed for a hands- free computer system, it may be used in any other suitable computer system.
