W.Bernhard-M.Schlipf-K.M.Tischer 3-1-35 Abstract of the Disclosure Flat Picture Display Device The flat picture display device consists of a phosphor screen (9) of glass, of a metallic trough (1) and of a plate-shaped (sandwiched) control structure (8) there- between. On the inside of the phosphor screen (9) there is provided a layer of phosphor (15), and inside the trough (1) there is disposed an areal cathode (7). Corrugations (16) are provided for in the bottom part (4) of the trough (1) and reinforcing (stiffen- ing) ribs (19) are provided for in the side walls (2) of the trough (1). (Fig.1)
