The invention concerns a flat product made of multiphase steel and a method for preparing said steel comprising the following steps: hot rolling at a temperature at which the austenitic phase is stable; tempering to form a C and Mn-enriched phase in a ferrite matrix; heat treatment to form austenite islands and/or enriching in Mn the already formed austenite and cooling down to room temperature so as to obtain a final product with a ferrite matrix containing residual austenite, bainite and/or martensite islands.

L'invention est relative à un produit plat en acier multiphasé et à un procédé de préparation de cet acier qui peut être obtenu par les étapes suivantes: le laminage à chaud à une température à laquelle la phase austénitique est stable, un revenu pour former une phase enrichie en C et Mn dans une matrice de ferrite, un traitement thermique pour former des îlots d'austénite et/ou enrichir en Mn de l'austénite déjà formée et un refroidissement jusqu'à la température ambiante de manière à obtenir un produit final présentant une matrice de ferrite contenant des îlots d'austénite résiduelle, de bainite et/ou de martensite.
