A flat-running device for a motor vehicle, particularly a private car, including a ring-shaped member (14) made of rigid plastic and clamped over the wheel rim, and an elastomeric strip (26) covering the outer peripheral surface of said member (14) and including at least one non-stretchable element (28) embedded in the elastomer and extending over the whole length and width of the strip (26).
