A semiconductor device comprising a flat package insulated and sealed by an insulating outer tube between a couple of common main electrode plates exposed from both sides of the package and at least one semiconductor chip having a first main electrode on a first major surface of the semiconductor chip and a second main electrode on the second major surface and incorporated in the flat package, wherein at least part of the outer tube is a resin component, and an outer portion, not facing an intermediate electrode plate, of the surface of the semiconductor chip and at least part of the side faces of the intermediate electrode are sealed compactly with an electrically insulating material.
Composant à semi-conducteur comprenant un boîtier plat isolé et scellé par un tube extérieur isolant entre une paire de plaques électrodes principales communes découvertes des deux côtés du boîtier et au moins une puce possédant une première électrode principale sur une première surface principale et une deuxième électrode principale sur une deuxième surface principale, et incorporée dans le boîtier plat, au moins une partie du tube extérieur étant constituée par un élément de résine, et une partie extérieure, non située en face d'une plaque électrode intermédiaire, de la surface de la puce, ainsi qu'au moins une partie des faces latérales de l'électrode intermédiaire étant scellées de façon compacte au moyen d'un matériau isolant électriquement.
