A rolling base for supporting objects rolling across a floor or other surface has castors mounted on radial arms that are in turn pivotally mounted on the base for vertical movement of the castors. Bridge elements link adjacent ones of the arms and are themselves pivotally mounted on the support base to act as walking beams. This allows each castor to rise and fall as it traverses an uneven surface or obstacles on the floor. Four or more castors may be used.
