- 14 - Abstract A flexible cannula consists of a flexible tube (2), whose distal zone is introducible into the inside of the body through a trocar puncture point, and a top piece (1). The top piece (1) is divided into a housing (10) which is flat when seen in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L-L) of the cannula and which is secured at the proximal end (6) of the tube (2) and contains a closure device (30, 32, 33); a flexible intermediate tube (16) which, starting from the proximal end wall (14) of the housing (10), extends along the longitudinal axis (L-L) of the cannula; and a coupling part (22) which is attached to the proximal end (20) of the intermediate tube (16) and which comprises an opening, which is essentially aligned with the cross-section surface of the tube (2), and coupling elements for the coupling of additional equipment. In an alternative version, the top piece (1) is designed flat, the intermediate tube (16) being dispensed with. (Figure 1)
